From Green & White yearbook: Pocahantas, watch out! This tall, slim and loquacious lady may seem snobbish and mayabang but definitely she's not! She's friendly, approachable and gets along with almost everyone. Shy. (kuno!) Very kalog and super kulit. You'll often hear her say, "cute" with just about anything and anyone. An unpredictable thinker and sometimes a bit weird. She beats Cinderella, having a curfew of eleven. She's a very choosy in meeting guys and avoids courtship; no wonder she doesn't have a boyfriend. |

To quote a yearbook write-up: Okey siya! |

I find it ironic that while I've been classmates with Val and not with Lester, it's Val that I almost forgot to add in this list. Silly silly me. To make for it (and the lack of a recent picture) I'm placing a picture of a hot babe, instead. Known for her drawing skills in grade school, far as I can remember. |
|
Constant classmate from Nursery in until Grade 5, but we probably never spoke more than a dozen words to each other. If they asked me to write a biography on her, I'd probably just submit an essay. |
|
Coincidences of coincidencs, her sister Juvy was my tutor in Grade 3, and my brother Wilson's batchmate. But I already knew Adeline (pronounced LIN or LYNE, w/cever you like) before that. Your impression of her would be similar to Wendy's: the seemingly quiet type who's actually one of the more talkative ones once you get her started. |
|
Nowadays when I hear her name I'm reminded of that character (with the
same name of course) in Rent. I doubt she'll hold this
in high regard when she finds out who that character is in the play.

Known
for being the batch's longest staying Judenite, because Pest kept hanging
around the old Alma Mater while the rest of us were already in college.
Must be because of his lady friends from the lower batches ("Pest's
Angels," as they're affectionately called). |
|
A guy whose circumstances surrounding his passing were as bewildering
as a David Lynch film, at least for some of us that asked around.
I couldn't get a straight answer. Rumors of how he passed away
sounded like a Chow Yun Fat movie: witness to a crime, Triads, a cat
and mouse chase to Hong Kong, the works. If I knew Toh Toh better
I'd probably make more of an effort to get to the bottom of this.

From Green & White
yearbook:
Hey! There's a party not only on your telephone, but also on
campus. You can talk about 1001 different topics faster than Clark
Kent can change into his underwear AND at the same time get to know a
sympathetic, caring listener who laughs at her own mistakes, whether it
be her "tragic" experiences in life or her blunders in class. |
|
Reasonably good-looking guy, pleasing personality, and a great conversationalist.
|
|
Big man on campus. Literally. His flippant (or jolly, whichever
you prefer) personality gives you an idea of what Santa Claus would
probably be doing if he wasn't working only once a year giving out presents
to good boys and girls. |

Speaking of relationship mysteries (see above entry), JacqTy's seeing Michael So. Along with edible hair mousse and seeing Madonna winning an Oscar for Best Actress, it's something I never imagined seeing in my lifetime. Anyhoo, sweet, smart, perky, pretty and funny. That's JacqTy. A bit on the whiney side (as she admitted to me once), but she's probably outgrown that by now. |
